Oh Be Gentle

Oh Be Gentle (2015) is Laub’s premier Los Angeles art exhibition at Commonwealth & Council. The exhibition highlights Laub’s first year experiencing physical changes within his own body as a trans person. A series of sacred fermenting and watering stations fill the room, inviting viewers to contemplate internal change. Large digital prints of self portraits hang on one wall, with a conspiracy like map of drawings pinned to the wall opposite. A video plays on repeat of chopped and edited conversations Laub had by himself, with friends, and with family during this transitional time.
